Josh Allen dismantled the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a performance that showcased his complete skill set on both sides of the ball. The Buffalo Bills quarterback threw for three touchdowns while adding three more on the ground in a dominant display that left little doubt about his MVP-caliber abilities this season.
Allen’s rushing production continues to reshape the quarterback landscape in professional football. His three scores on Sunday moved him within striking distance of a historic milestone.
One more rushing touchdown will make him the quarterback with the most in NFL history, a record currently held by Cam Newton at 75. The significance of the milestone has drawn public attention, including analyst Chris Brown, who posted on social media commending Allen’s scoring production and comparing his impact to that of Michael Jordan.
“I’ve said it before. I’ll say it again. No one scores touchdowns like [Josh Allen]. Allen (290) passed Manning (288) for most total TDs by player under age 30 & now tied w/ Newton for all-time rushing TDs by a QB (75). When it comes to scoring points specifically, he is the Michael Jordan of the NFL,” Brandt posted on X.

When including postseason statistics, Allen already ranks first among quarterbacks with 82 rushing touchdowns. His seven playoff rushing scores give him a two-touchdown advantage over Newton’s 77 career total.
Jalen Hurts trails both with 71 overall rushing touchdowns, though he remains second with 61 regular-season marks. Allen’s pace this season positions him for another record.
Through 10 games, he has accumulated 10 rushing touchdowns, putting him on track for 17 by season’s end. That would surpass the current single-season record of 15, shared by Allen and Hurts.
Allen’s versatility has produced another historical achievement. He became the only quarterback to record at least 300 passing yards with three passing touchdowns and three rushing touchdowns in a single game.
